En smart, intressant, personlig och humoristisk New York-baserad singer-songwriter med rötter i 60-talets girlgroups, 70-talets NYC-punkscen med Ramones & Blondie, mods, folk och powerpop. Hennes nya kritikerrosade album "The Old Guys" fick en helsida i januari-numret av Uncut. Skivan producerades av hennes man Wreckless Eric. De släppte tillsammans tre album under åren 2008-2012, bland annat cover-albumet "Two-Way Family Favourites" där de blandar Tom Petty, Flamin' Groovies, Byrds & The Who med ABBA & Smokie! Annars är Amy mest känd för de fem soloalbum hon släppte 1996-2005: "Diary of a Mod Housewife", "Middlescence", "The Sugar Tree", "Till the Wheels Fall Off" och "Little Fugitive". Amy Rigby has made a life out of writing and singing about life. With bands Last Roundup and the Shams in eighties NYC East Village to her solo debut Diary Of A Mod Housewife out of nineties Williamsburg; through a songwriting career in 2000s Nashville and during the past decade with duo partner Wreckless Eric, she’s released records on visionary independent labels Rounder, Matador, Signature Sounds and reborn Stiff Records as well as her and Eric’s own Southern Domestic Recordings. Her songs have been covered by Laura Cantrell, Ronnie Spector and They Might Be Giants’ John Flansburgh.
