Dylan Bishop is an Austin-based Blues-singer and guitar-player, who thrills audiences with his authentic and well-groomed style of playing.
A really cool young American roots artist. Dylan Bishop is a new name in the Texas tradition and definitely one to follow. In his home state Texas he’s been getting quite the recognition as well as online and has been praised by people by the likes of Jimmie Vaughan. Think of him soundwise somewhere between Fabolous Thunderbirds and James Harman. Perhaps cool to know also is that Junior Watson (Canned Heat, James Harman etc) mentioned Dylan as the next big thing in his liner notes of his latest album.
He draws his inspiration from blues greats such as Johnny “Guitar” Watson, Mercy Baby, Frankie Lee Sims, Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown and many others. Blues in the Texas tradition, you could say. His love for American roots music speaks for itself when you hear him play!
His debut album Sounds of the Dylan Bishop Band is out now. Dylan Bishop will be on tour in Europe from May 20th until June 7th 2020.
