Performing on Light of Day Europe Tour 2024 are Joe D’Urso, James Maddock,
and Williams Honor with support from Rob Dye and various friends along the way
The annual tradition of Light of Day Europe began in 2007 with the Foundation’s President Joe D’Urso bringing the power of LOD overseas.
“17 years ago we set out to bring Light of Day to the great music fans across Europe and I could not be more excited to be back again this year alongside James, Gordon, Reagan and Rob” said D’Urso. “I have a deep belief that one day, be it this coming year or down the line, one of the brilliant scientists that is supported by the whole Parkinsons disease community will find a cure. I am sure Bob Benjamin, my friend and longtime music manager, could never have dreamed that one little show would become global.”
JOE DURSO has released 17 records since 1991, the most recent being 2023s "Thurman". The new release features nine original JD songs along with odes by Bob Seger and Trond Svendson. Joe has performed in 30 countries over the years and along with his band Stone Caravan - an Americana, Jersey Shore, Rock & Roll band - they have created a worldwide network of fans. Joes music is released on his own label, SCR/Schoolhouse Records.
A rock & roll lifer, JAMES MADDOCK has been carving his unique path since the 1980s, when the New York City based, British-born singer/songwriter kicked off his career with a raw, soulful voice; a storytellers sense of narrative; and the ability to blur the lines between folk, classic pop, and rock.
James has performed regularly with Willie Nile, Aaron Comess (Spin Doctors), David Immergluck (Counting Crows), Brian Mitchell (Levon Helm Band) and SNL drummer Shawn Pelton and has shared the stage with many well-known artists such as Bruce Springsteen, The Waterboys, Pete Seeger, Levon Helm and many others
WILLIAMS HONOR: They have created a unique sound all their own, and define Jersey Country, as if Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert , or Dolly Parton were backed up by The E Street Band or The Rolling Stones, with lots of big harmonies and rock and roll energy.
The ten songs that comprise Days To Here, the debut CD from New Jersey native ROB DYE, are a journey through the rich landscape of American music’s roots. With feet firmly planted in those roots, Dye’s music incorporates elements of rock, old school country, Stax-influenced R&B, gospel and more.
