We will have a two-day workshop with the two well renowned instructors. The topics of the workshop will be:
Vertical suspension techniques
In this session, we will explore a technique to make suspensions in an upright position safer, more comfortable, and more accessible. Typically, such positions put a high load on the upper arms, thus making it more painful and increasing the risk of nerve injury.
You will learn how to distribute the load to achieve these goals using Nina’s hip-harness. This harness is an extremely stable and versatile tie, which will allow many options for suspension and transitions.
Flow and connection
This module will help you develop fluency and nuance in the language of rope. It has pace, volume, intonation, and punctuation. Without these elements, the experience can be as flat as a beautiful poem read by basic text to speech.
Good rope play, like sex, is more about how you do it than what you do. Fumbling isn’t sexy so we will help you develop flow and show you how to communicate effectively.
We will draw on our own experience combined with the teachings of Yukimura Haruki, grand master of newaza, and Osada Steve.
