One of the Society Expos international highlights is the independent, English-language knowledge program "Our Time on Earth".
Here, the audience will listen to Johan Rockström, director of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and professor of Earth System Science at the University of Potsdam, and Mattias Klum, world-renowned photographer, artist, filmmaker and conservationist.
In the lecture "The human quest – abundance within planetary boundaries", they take as their starting point the question of how human welfare can develop within the planets sustainable limits, and what is required to navigate the global societal transformation that the world is experiencing.
The lecture is aimed at both the general public and professional audiences.
