Boombox (since 2004) is a cult Ukrainian rock and pop band, well-known and loved all over the world.
Since the start of the illegal Russian invasion into Ukraine all the band members joined the Ukrainian Territorial Defense Forces. Frontman Andrii Khlyvniuk recorded an a cappella version of the Ukrainian folk song "Oh, the Red Viburnum in the Meadow" ("Oj u luzi chervona kalyna") in Kyiv while dressed in a military uniform and posted it on social media - the video became a historic encapsulation of Ukrainian artists unity in mobilizing the countrys spirit. Pink Floyd, led by David Gilmour, wrote and recorded the single "Hey, Hey, Rise Up!", incorporating Khlyvnyuks recorded vocals, and released it in April 2022 in support of Ukraine.
