Bröderna Jeff och Steven McDonald grundade bandet (initialt The Tourists, sedan Red Kross innan en viss välgörenhetsorganisation kom med synpunkter) medan de fortfarande var taniga skolglin (femton respektive elva år gamla) besatta av Kiss och skräpkultur. De kan sägas vara ett arketypiskt kultband – älskade av en trogen skara fans och djupt respekterade av kollegor men med blygsam kommersiell framgång. Ser du dem på scen lär du notera frånvaron av döda punkter samt en strid ström av låtar som borde ha varit hits.

Marie Shylock, Publisher Strengsbrew a talented, seasoned (yet not too old), charismatic four-piece band hailing from the rock capitols of the world (Stockholm, Sweden and Queens, New York) are dominating the mid-trans-atlantic music scene and are completely redefining the global image of multi-cultural ethnic-rock music today, while creating a niche within the harder edges of radio rock an’ roll. Formed in mid-2019 this quartet of musicians produces a sound that is so distinctive and unique, so heavy, driving, and melodic, that you can't help but rock out.
Not content to ride on the star-studded coattails of The Hellacopters and the gods of garage rock, The Fleshtones stardom, Strengsbrew, much like Lee Hazelwood, Sevendust and Hootie and the Blowfish have all changed the face of rock, Strengsbrew are opening people’s minds with their driving, emotion-filled music in a unique, unprecedented package. In a changing new world where music seems to be erasing any existing racial boundaries, Strengsbrew - with several members who are American-born, but living in Scandinavia - are poised to further prove that music is, indeed, the one true universal language. With its lineup solidified, Strengsbrew has ignited Scandinavia with their crisp, pop-sensible driving anthems alongside a loyal following of music lovers young and young at heart.
The rest of the year sees the band working closely with a big time producer in the studio to record their highly-anticipated full-length, due out in 2020. With potential partnerships with a soon to be announced Energy Drink company, and a possible deal with a Strengsbrew branded microbrew and/or wine, the Strengsbrew gravy train is expanding its influence and buzz. With a focus on outstanding live performance and outright entertainment, Strengsbrew continues to grow rapidlyin emerging rock markets. Keep an ear out!
