I Barrikad gestaltar Skuggteatern omarbetade livsberättelser från unga kvinnor i Umeå som själva brukat våld. Narrativen är insamlade av Resurscentrum för traumastöd vid Vårsta diakoni genom terapiformen NET. En viktig del av läkandet är att historierna sedan ska återföras till samhället så vi kollektivt kan skriva en ny framtid.

SKUGGTEATERN PROCESSES TRAUMA IN THE NEW PLAY “BARRICADE”
A rope along the floor represents our timeline. There, we place candles for those who have passed away, stones for difficult events, flowers for the good memories, and sticks when weve harmed someone else. In "Barricade," Skuggteatern portrays reworked life stories from young women in Umeå who have themselves used violence. The narratives have been collected by the Resource Center for Trauma Support at Vårsta Diakonia through the therapy method NET. A crucial part of the healing process is that these stories will be reintegrated into society so that we can collectively write a new future.
ENGLISH SUBTITLES: For the performances on October 3rd and 6th, English subtitles are provided. On-site, you can scan a QR code, and the subtitles will be displayed live on your own smartphone. The performance is conducted in Swedish as usual. The subtitling is offered in collaboration with YNK Production.

The performance takes place at the Culture House "Klossen."
