Songs That You Can’t Get Out Of Your HeadThere's a difference between singing some words together with some music, and a *song*. A *song* is a self-contained, well structured object. Audiences feel at home when they hear it, like they've known it all their life. In "Songs That You Can't Get Out Of Your Head", we look at creating just that type of song. In this incredibly fun course, we'll look at:* finding structure from organic starts* working together as a group* what makes a great chorus* keeping a song focused* playing with tension and resolutionNo compensation is provided if you spend the rest of the day with a song stuck in your head. About Phil Lunn (UK)Phil is an improviser from London, UK. He has been musical director for various groups including “Music Box: The Improvised Comedy Musical”. Phil perform a solo show, “Phil Lunn Is...” which has been performed around Europe and the USA. Phil was described by the podcast ‘Open Your Mouth And Sing’ as “A powerhouse of musical improv”, by Sirp Magazine in Estonia as “The star of the festival”, and by friends as “rather interested in improv”. Phil perform non-musical improv too. I regularly teach musical improv in London, primarily with Hoopla Impro.
